Welcome to Afonso Lardosa, my online space where I share and sell my original artworks, drawings, paintings, and prints.
Below you’ll find my Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy.
Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. Shipping Policy

Domestic Shipping (Portugal)
At this time, I ship exclusively within Portugal. All national orders include free shipping. Original artworks are shipped registered, tracked, and insured whenever possible.

International Customers
If you are located outside Portugal and wish to purchase an artwork, please contact me directly at afonsolardosa@outlook.com. International shipping is arranged individually on a case-by-case basis, depending on destination and artwork. Buyers outside Portugal are responsible for any customs or import duties.

Processing Time

  • Original artworks: 2 – 5 business days to prepare, package, and insure.

  • Prints (made to order): 3 – 5 business days before dispatch.

  • Digital downloads: available instantly after purchase via email.

Shipping Zones & Estimates (for reference only)

  • Portugal (mainland): 2 – 4 business days (CTT Expresso / registered mail)

  • Islands (Azores & Madeira): 3 – 7 business days

Damaged Items
If an artwork arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and artwork within 48 hours of delivery and contact me at afonsolardosa@outlook.com. I will assist with insurance claims or replacement where applicable.

2. Returns & Refunds Policy

Returns & Refunds Policy

EU Right of Withdrawal
Customers within the EU may return physical artworks within 14 days of receiving them, provided the item is in its original condition and packaging. Buyers are responsible for return shipping and insurance.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Digital downloads cannot be refunded once accessed.

  • Custom or commissioned artworks are non-returnable unless damaged in transit.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong piece, please contact me within 7 days of delivery with photos. I will do my best to replace, repair, or refund the purchase.

Invalid or Non-Portuguese Addresses
Orders with invalid, incomplete, or non-Portuguese addresses may be canceled at my discretion. Refunds for canceled orders will be processed automatically through the payment provider.

3. Terms & Conditions

Introduction
These Terms govern purchases made through this website (afonsolardosa.com). By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

About Me
I am Afonso Lardosa, a self-employed artist based in Portugal, registered as a trabalhador independente under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA). Accordingly, my sales are exempt from VAT.

Products
Each artwork is individually created and described with accurate dimensions, materials, and imagery. Colours may vary slightly due to monitor differences.

Prices
All prices are in euros (€). Shipping for Portugal is free, and international shipping is arranged individually by contacting me at afonsolardosa@outlook.com. Any import duties or customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility.

Orders & Payments
Payments are securely processed via Squarespace Payments, Stripe, or PayPal. An order is considered confirmed once payment is received in full. I reserve the right to cancel orders in case of listing errors, unavailability, or invalid shipping addresses.

Intellectual Property
All artworks, images, and texts on this site are protected by copyright. Reproduction, resale, or distribution without written permission is strictly prohibited.

Liability
I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, delays due to customs, or damages caused by misuse of the artwork.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, and disputes will be handled in the competent Portuguese courts.

4. Privacy Policy

Data Collected
When you place an order or contact me, I collect:

  • Name, email address, billing and shipping addresses

  • Order details and payment confirmation

  • Technical data (IP, device, cookies) via Squarespace analytics

I do not store or access credit card data — payments are handled securely by Stripe or PayPal.

Purpose of Data Use
Your data is used to:

  • Process and deliver your orders

  • Communicate about your purchases or inquiries

  • Fulfill tax and legal obligations

  • Improve site performance and user experience

I never sell or share personal data for marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Retention
Data is stored securely within Squarespace and its payment processors. I retain order and invoicing data as required by Portuguese tax law (typically 10 years).

  • Access, correction, or deletion of your data

  • Restriction or objection to processing

  • Withdrawal of consent

  • Complaint submission to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD)
