Workshop in Coimbra
At the request of one of you, I’m writing about my experience in Coimbra.
Part of me wanted to go back to Bridgman and share a bit more of what I’ve been learning. But another part of me felt like I should write about this while it’s still fresh in my memory.
This way, next week I can return with a more structured post on Bridgman.

A New Search Studying Bridgman
I’ve always felt that my approach to drawing leans more toward the visual side — trying to represent things as I see them.
But I’ve often struggled with something else:
understanding morphology and translating structure onto paper. In other words — feeling the construction behind the figure.
So I decided to pick up one of the classics of drawing instruction and see if it helps fill that gap. Not only to understand structure better, but also to improve my ability to draw from imagination.
Maybe it will work. Maybe it won’t.
But that’s the search.
